Show House Season

Spring brings in beautiful weather, manicured landscapes, and the beginning of the “Decorators’ Show House Season”.  Show houses have become popular fundraising venues across the country.  The unique ability to showcase the work of architects, builders, landscape architects, and interior designers provides a perfect backdrop for the primary focus; fundraising.  Designers showcase their magic by transforming an empty room into a gallery of furnishing, art, antiques and treasures.  Each room, designed by a separate designer offers a different flavor of style and influences.

The homes featured as show houses are range from colonial to traditional to contemporary.  The design within showcases the plethora of styles within each community.  In addition to the joy of contributing to a charity, each visitor is rewarded with an open book on design today.   The show house is an opportunity for each visitor to discover new design, new products on the market, and to essentially have a “soft interview” with the featured designers.
